    I Finally Found Someone

Duet by Barbra Streisand and Bryan Adams

I finally found someone, who knocks me off my feet
I finally found the one, who makes me feel complete
We started over coffee, we started out as friends
It's funny how from simple things, the best things begin

This time it's different (dah dah dah dah)
It's all because of you (dah dah dah dah)
It's better than it's ever been
Cause we can talk it through
My favorite line was "Can I call you sometime?"
It's all you had to say to take my breath away

    This is it, oh
    I finally found someone
    Someone to share my life
    I finally found the one
    To be with every night
    Cause whatever I do
It's just got to be you
    My life has just begun
I finally found someone (ooh, someone)
    I finally found someone (ooh)

Did I keep you waiting (I didn't mind)
    I apologize (baby, that's fine)
I would wait forever just to know you were mine
And I love your hair (sure it looks right?)
I love what you wear (isn't it too tight?)
    You're exceptional
I can't wait for the rest of my life
    This is it, oh

    I finally found someone
    Someone to share my life
    I finally found the one
    To be with every night
    Cause whatever I do
It's just got to be you
    My life has just begun
I finally found someone (ooh, someone)
    I finally found someone (ooh)

    Cause whatever I do
It's just got to be you
    My life has just begun
    I finally found someone

    [Three months have passed.

Getting to know more on each other.
    Getting to know the habits.
    Getting more understanding.
    Getting more intimate.

Still thinking about the dreams together.
Still feeling that warmth and serenity.
    Still lovingly comfortable.
    Still crazy about each other.

    Have I finally found someone?
    I think I have.]

    Across the Universe

[Today is the opening day for the 9th Jakarta International Film Festival and my third time attending JiFFest since 2005. I watched Across the Universe and am writing about it in Bahasa this time as you can read English comments about it in many other places.]

Tadinya gue kirain ini film animasi Jepang, Paprika, soalnya pas gue ngantri beli tiket gue ga bawa daftar film inceran gue. Temen nonton gue udah nonton Quickie Express jadi practically pilihannya jadi cuman satu.

Ya nonton lah gue Across the Universe bareng temen gue "ditemani" beberapa insan perfilman yang kayanya abis dari undangan film perdana JiFFest, Persepolis. Celakanya buat temen gue, Across the Universe ga ada teksnya, jadi rada2 bingung dia.

    Washington DC - Day 94

This morning I attended a workshop seminar where Macromedia showed their latest installment, Studio 8. I received the e-mail invitation earlier this week from my boss, Graham, and decided to register and attend it. The room was packed, there were probably more than 200 people attended the event. Most of them were government and NGO employees, no doubt working with internet technologies and web implementations for their respective institutions.

Studio 8 hasn't been released yet, so the people attending were among the first to see Studio 8's capabilities. It is a powerful software, and even though it doesn't include Freehand (I never use it anyway), it includes Dreamweaver, Fireworks, and Flash Paper among others. During half of the seminar, they demonstrated the new Flash improvements. It didn't really apply to me since I don't use Flash (no animation talent), so it was kinda boring. However, once the seminar resumed after a snack break, things were getting really interesting.

The chief software development showed us new features of Dreamweaver. It was great. The new Dreamweaver would provide more advanced support for CSS such as the ability to turn CSS on-and-off in mid-development, color each CSS box automatically, zoom in-and-out for more precise positioning, collapse codes for more portability, convert to XSLT for better RSS integration, and many more! It would've made my internship a lot easier. They also showed a new product called Flash Paper which would bring web multimedia to the masses. It's capable of converting almost any type of file into Flash SWF so developer can show documents directly on a given web page.

After the seminar, I walked into Borders store on the opposite block waiting for lunch time. Surprisingly, Borders scheduled a tour appearance of Josh Kelly that afternoon for his new album, Almost Honest. It was my first tour sighting so gotta include this in the blog. Honestly, I never heard about the guy, but his songs were very good. They're on the same genre as Mraz, Johnson, Mayer (what do you call that genre? I always refer to it as folk music since Yahoo categorizes them that way, and there're a lot of "J"s singers too like Josh, Jason, Jack, and John, go figure).

    Lotus Festival

Lotus Festival is an annual music festival in Bloomington, IN where performing artist from around the world come and perform during the weekend festival. Today is the third day and the festival will conclude tomorrow.

I attended last year's festival but I don't think I would be able to make it to this year's. Ticket price has been increased, even for students. It's difficult to pay $25 for recreational entertainment when you don't have a job yet. I guess I could volunteer and get a free ticket, but I have to do a research for my interview on Monday (first phone-interview!). So wish me luck!

Oh, if you want to learn more about the festival, this is the website http://www.lotusfest.org/
